An arty guest house in the core of Porto's trendy, gallery and design district, the Favorita’s decor the handiwork of famed French designer Sam Baron. Rooms in the main townhouse building are large and mostly white, but with colorful Portuguese touches, like cushions covered with traditional chintz fabrics from Alcobaça. Those in the newer redbrick garden extension are smaller, but have the advantage of a patio opening out into the lush, peaceful green space. There's a personalized welcome and families are catered for with roomy suites. The veranda is the perfect place to sip a glass of port, or the Portuguese craft beers on offer.
