For 20 years this relaxed, cosmopolitan place has been serving good food a block from the sea out in the beach resort of Foz. Inside the tile-covered villa, there's background jazz, soft lighting, discreet service. The food is a mix of classic French and Portuguese, with some Italian touches. Portugal's cherished salt-cod comes with a garlic-infused aioli mayonnaise from the south of France. There's coq au vin, and a renowned tournedos Wellington steak. Save some space for the spiced walnut cake with cinnamon ice .
