GETTING THERE

By Train -- From Berlin, S-Bahn line S7 stops at the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (train station). Hop on bus no. 695 in front of the station and ride nine stops to the Schloss Sanssouci stop. Cross the road, turn left, and you’ll almost immediately come to a flight of stairs leading up to the palace. If you don’t want to hassle with transportation, you can take one of the Potsdam-Sanssouci bus tours offered by the Severin + Kuhn sightseeing bus companies on Ku’Damm; the cost is generally about 45€ for a half-day fast-track tour.

Getting Around

By Public Transportation -- If you don’t have a Berlin Welcome Card with Potsdam included, you can buy a Premium Day Ticket for 21€ that is good for all transportation and museums in Potsdam, including Sanssouci. Buy your ticket at the Potsdam Information center, which can also help you with walking tours, boat tours, and Tourist Tram tours.
