You'll find a pharmacy (tel. 089-874846) on Via Capriglione 142 (SS 163). For an ambulance, dial tel. 118. You can call the police at tel. 113 or 112. The post office (tel. 089-874086) is on Via Capriglione 80 (SS 163). You'll find an ATM by the tourist office; the nearest bank is in Positano.
Getting There
Praiano is the first village you encounter east of Positano and is easily reached from Positano, Amalfi, or Sorrento by SITA bus, taxi, or car service, or rental car or scooter. La Sibilla, Via Marina di Praia 1, Praiano (tel. 089-874365; www.lasibilla.org), offers water taxi service to and from Marina di Praia from Amalfi, Atrani, Capri, and Positano (about 65€ per hr.); it also offers boat rental, and daily excursions to Capri, the Emerald Grotto, and Furore. Benvenuto Limos, Via Roma 54, Praiano (tel. 346-6840226; www.benvenutolimos.com), is the local car service. Taxi service is provided by Umberto Benvenuto, Via Roma (tel. 089-874024), and Gennaro Rispoli, Via G. Capriglione (tel. 089-874370).
