The rich clay fields that feed the vines at this 150-acre estate winery sustain the standards cold-friendly grape varietals (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) as well as some surprises, like Tempranillo. The wines of owner and winemaker Dan Sullivan wines are some of the most refined being produced in The County. Inside the sun-drenched tasting room, make sure to give the three-tiered chandelier a look: It’s made by a local artist out of the winery’s very own grapevines. Those of a peckish persuasion can hit up the wee on-site grocer (all local products) for cheese and charcuterie—best consumed immediately while reclining in a Muskoka chair overlooking the gorgeously groomed grapes.
