Apart from the bricks and mortar, all that’s left of this midcentury fishermen’s motel are the 60-year-old signs (now decorative) that read “DO NOT GUT FISH.” Motelier gal-pal co-owners April Brown and Sarah Sklash have transformed this 16-room motel in a rosé-swilling, Pinterest-loving yuppie sanctuary complete with palm-printed wallpaper, cutesy neon signs, and decorative plastic flamingos. It’s unapologetically fun, feminine, and fabulous. Details like plant-based toiletries from Northumberland County’s Sunday Company are a nice touch.
