Getting There
Procida is easily reached from Pozzuoli and Naples: Medmar (tel. 081-3334411; www.medmargroup.it), Caremar (tel. 081-5513882; www.caremar.it), and SNAV (tel. 081-4285555 or 081-4285500; www.snav.it) offer ferry and hydrofoil service from Napoli, Pozzuoli, and Ischia.
Visitor Information
The AACST (tel. 081-8101968; www.infoischiaprocida.it) maintains a small tourist office on Via Marina Grande near the ferry dock. It is open May to September, Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 1pm and 3:30 to 6pm; the rest of the year it's only open mornings. The nearby travel agency Graziella, Via Roma 117 (tel. 081-8969191; www.isoladiprocida.it), is another good resource for help with hotel reservations and boat rentals.

You'll find a pharmacy (tel. 081-8968101) on Piazza dei Martiri 1, Madonna delle Grazie. The nearest hospitals are in Ischia and Pozzuoli; the First Aid medical center (tel. 081-8969660) is at Via Vittorio Emanuele 191; to call an ambulance dial tel. 118. The police can be reached at tel. 113 or 112. For the main post office (tel. 081-8967001; Mon-Sat 8am-2pm) visit Via Liberta. Banks with ATMs include the Banco di Napoli (tel. 081-8967035) at Via Vittorio Emanuele 158.
Getting Around
Given Procida's diminutive size, the best way to see the island is definitely on foot, or by bicycle (which you can rent at most hotels) -- although cars are plentiful, and traffic jams are a regular occurrence, especially in summer. You can also take one of the four public bus lines run by SEPSA (tel. 081-5429965). All of the buses start from Marina Grande; tickets are 1€ per ride. Taxi stands are at each of the three marinas and at the ferry terminal; or you can call one for pickup (tel. 081-8968785).
