Located on Bradford Street, a block from the Commercial Street hub, this historic sea captain’s house, restored and expanded, has been turned into a luxury hotel with a fine restaurant and a spa. Six buildings make up the compound; although all the rooms differ in size, and some have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs, they all have very comfortable beds with high-end linens. The decor is modern, with muted colors. There’s one dog-friendly room.
