Lounge La Habana

It may not be Valencia, but the rice dishes here are as authentic and balanced as you’ll find on the Costa del Sol—even if they are all labeled “paella.” The black rice tinted with squid ink (a Catalan dish) is especially good, and the rice with red king prawns (carabineros) is satisfyingly salty and sweet. Fish dishes such as octopus with creamy potatoes are the real stars of the menu. The wine list—especially the sparkling wines—is unusually extensive for the Costa del Sol. Many dockside eating establishments around here have gone ultra-casual, but La Habana retains an old-fashioned sense of decorum.
