Girl power—really woman power—is on display at this friendly birder's hotel, which is owned and run by a mother and her two daughters. The two generations of women are unusually talented at making all guests feel welcome and cared for. This is particularly the case with the bird lovers; they know that the staff here are used to preparing 4am breakfasts so their guests can hit the trails and mangrove swamps just as the sun is rising. The hotel itself is pleasant if unremarkable, with tidy tile-floored rooms, with white walls, minimal art and brown and tan comforters and curtains. At the heart of the little resort is a large pool and the El Delfin restaurant, one of the best on the Riviera Nayarit (we have a separate review for the restaurant on this site).
