This artistic bistro is run by the acclaimed chef/owners of Trio, whom many consider to serve Vallarta's best food. It's no surprise then that the fresh, healthy dishes here make Vitea another favorite among locals. Due to strategically placed mirrors on the back wall, every seat has a view of the ocean, while the interior is cheerful and inviting. Starters include succulent grilled octopus with chorizo or a Greek salad that explodes with flavor. Main courses change regularly and may include barbecue red snapper with wilted spinach, eggplant ravioli with portobello mushrooms, or Angus beef tips sautéed with wine. Dinner selections offer a choice of smaller or larger portions. Lunch offers lighter fare; breakfast is also available.
