Attention to detail has made Aguas Claras a frequent pick for “best of” lists in glossy travel magazines. These include all of the little things that you don’t need but really want, like bottles of local craft beers in the fridge, and little benches to put your things on beside the beach loungers. The big things are also done to a T, like the pleasing boho chic décor in the guest suites and bungalows, some of which take their aesthetic sense from 1950’s Havana, Cuba, others of which have more of a groovy but updated 1960’s feel. Throughout the expertly maintained gardens are hidden amenities like the indoor-outdoor DaLime beach club, with a full bar and menu, and an open-air yoga and meditation shala. The main restaurant, Papaya, features a tasty Afro-Caribbean fare.
