One of the only true boutique hotels in Puerto Viejo, it has guestrooms surrounding a chic, leafy pool area, one that’s always pretty calm, since this is an adults only resort. The smart rooms have a Caribbean-vibe, thanks to wood paneled ceilings, white tile floors, and jungle-themed accent pillows and wall art. The suites and apartments are considerably bigger and add standalone bathtubs and additional lounging areas. The full service restaurant, Mar & Sal, has a Caribbean menu, while the small spa offers a selection of massages and other standard treatments.
