Barachois Inn
Barachois hits all the notes a good B&B should. It’s sent in a 19th century property (the mansard roofed home won a restoration award back in the 1980s) and the décor prettily celebrates the Victorian era with fireplaces, sled- or four-poster canopy beds and pretty wallpaper. Outside is elegant, too, thanks to a beautifully kept flower garden. Better yet, the expansive rooms have many modern comforts like air tubs in some, kitchenettes in others and useable Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast is made to order and quite good; and the devoted hosts make sure their guests have everything they need, whether it be free passes to the National Park or towels for the beach.
