Chard Farm Vineyard
This is one of the most spectacularly situated vineyards in the country. Straddling a narrow ledge between rugged mountains and the Kawarau River Gorge, it's reached via a narrow, unpaved road 100m (330 ft.) above the river. Available wines include chardonnay, pinot noir, Riesling, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, and Gewürztraminer.
