Cretan nobles once occupied this fine, Neo-Classical building, and it will feel like they could be just around the corner when you stay here. That's because the caring owners—superb hosts—have done an unusually good job at preserving the building's ambiance. They've left the beamed ceilings, and rough stone wallls, but added luxurious touches the nobility would have expected, like fine, striped silk chairs, pretty chandeliers and well–chosen antiques. Not everything is old-timey here: the Wi–Fi works quite well, thank you very much, there's a "pillow menu" and the bathtubs are equipped with massaging jets. Casa Moazza is located right in the heart of old Rethymnon, right next to the cultural center gardens and just a 10-minute stroll to the beach. At its core is a courtyard with flowers and a stone fountain, a wonderful place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
