Martha Creek Provincial Park, just north of Revelstoke on Hwy. 23 (tel. 250/825-3500), sits on Lake Revelstoke and has 28 campsites that go for C$14 each.

Accommodations are also available at the four-season Revelstoke Mountain Resort, just south of Revelstoke. The Nelson Lodge offers 221 condo suites at the base of the lifts, high-end lodgings that include full kitchen, fireplace, and washer and dryer. Rates are from C$349 double in winter high season, and C$259 summer high season. Also at the resort is Sandman Inn, a hotel with rooms from C$124 in both winter and summer high seasons. Glacier National Park -- Illecillewaet and Loop Brook campgrounds are just west of Rogers Pass off Hwy. 1 and along the Illecillewaet River. Both operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Facilities include flush toilets, kitchen shelters, firewood, and drinking water. Illecillewaet offers guided hikes and fireside programs as well. Rates at both campgrounds are C$22 per night.
