Literary Walking Tours

On Thursdays at 3pm from June to August, the City Library sponsors free, little-known tours of Reykjavík, led by a literary critic or an actor. Tours, which last around 1.5 hours, leave from the main branch and may include anything from the Settlement Museum (for a saga reading) to the cafe/nightclub Kaffibarinn (site of debauched scenes from the cult novel Reykjavík 101). Call ahead to make sure the time hasn’t changed.
