This cozy, lovingly maintained inn is among my favorite spots in Puerto Rico. The service is warm and personal, the inn is right on the beach and the rooms, housed in a hacienda-style residence with mosaic patios and terraces, feature tropical colors, and fine woodwork. They’re not overly fancy, but large and very comfortable. With just nine rooms, there’s always plenty of space to splash around in the pool or swim serious laps, and plenty of lounge chairs available, whether you’re looking for sun or shade. On property is a small bar and tapas restaurant with tables under a veranda, which is also where breakfast is served. Try for one of the second-floor rooms, which have better breezes and views. The best rooms are 203 and 254 and only cost an additional $20 per night.
