Getting There

By Train -- Ringkøbing lies on the main rail lines between Esbjerg (trip time: 1 1/4 hr.) and Struer (1 hr.).

By Car -- From Silkeborg, continue west along Route 15 into Ringkøbing.

Visitor Information

Ringkøbing Turistbureau, Torvet (tel. 70-22-70-01; www.ringkobingfjord.dk), is open mid-June to August, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm; September to mid-June, it's open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.

Getting Around

By Bicycle -- The surrounding scenic flatlands are ideal for cyclists. Bikes can be rented at Børgensen Cykler, Nørredige 10 (tel. 97-32-36-01) for DKK50 to DKK60 ($8.50-$10/£5-£6) per day.
