Ibis Copacabana
This new hotel in vibrant Copacabana, just two blocks from the beach, is a good value for money with a very helpful multilingual staff. The clean rooms are a bit smaller than the standard Ibis rooms, but they are quiet and have very comfortable beds, brand new amenities, and free wi-fi. There are adjoining rooms for families. The hotel is located just 50 meters (55 yards) from a subway station, providing easy access to the rest of the city and it is not too far from Sugarloaf and Corcovado. There is a small supermarket just around the corner and a large variety of bars and restaurants is just a short stroll away. The hotel offers a very basic breakfast buffet; if you want a more substantial start of the day before attacking all the tourist sites, skip it. There are plenty of good breakfast options in the area.
