Panda has long been popular among budget travelers, and its 28 rooms get booked up quickly. Rooms are spare, but not without a bit of old-fashioned charm, like characteristic Roman cotto (terracotta) floor tiles and exposed beams. The cheaper singles and doubles do not have private bathrooms; only triples are with full private bath. The en-suite bathrooms tend to be cramped, however. Right outside your doorstep, there are several great cafes and wine bars where you can start the day with espresso beverages, or end your night with alcoholic ones.
