Once a cozy 10-room guesthouse with classic decor, Coronari Palace has recently been redone and now sings a modern tune. Its 16 rooms feature modular furnishings and wood laminate floors; three junior suites have terraces. While some bathrooms are on the snug side, they’re sleek and well-designed, most with enough counter/sink space for a toiletry bag. The communal roof terrace invites guests to BYOB and enjoy a pleasant evening looking out on the terracotta rooftops of Rome. There are no surprises here, just clean, up-to-date facilities, good prices, and amiable staff.
