In 2014, Cherrise Karaitiana, an employee of Abracadabra, was named "Rotorua Barrista of the Year", and it reflects the quality of the java you'll get if you stop by for breakfast. But this purposefully exotic restaurant, with its almost Moroccan decor, and rooms themed by color, is pretty good for most meals of the day.  The menu includes North African chicken kebabs, couscous salad, and vegetable tanginess; under its new ownership it will be adding even more vegan and vegetarian options. Along with the inside seating, there's a striped tent and garden for dining al fresco. A fun place for a meal.
