Scenically located at the border between the park in which Rotterdam symbol Euromast stands and the Nieuwe Maas waterway, Parkheuvel occupies a modern semicircular building with tables that afford a scenic view of passing ships. Patron and chef Erik van Loo has earned a two Michelin stars for inventive, French-based cuisine with an added European dimension. The seafood dishes are particularly astounding: Try the starter of carpaccio of sea bass, or a lobster salad with sun-dried tomatoes and arugula. Main courses range from turbot gratinée to poached filet of beef with truffles.
