Planning a trip to Sakya

Getting There -- Land Cruisers make the trip from Lhatse, 50km (31 miles) away, in around an hour; a trip from Shigatse, 130km (81 miles) away, takes 2 or 3 hours.

Getting Around -- There are no street addresses in the simple town of Sakya, but everything is within a ten minute walk of the monastery.
