Altstadthotel Wolf
Right next to Mozartplatz, this former inn dates to 1429, and has been owned by the same family since 1899. A clean white exterior encloses rustic and inviting hallways, decorated with a few baroque touches. Many new bathrooms have been installed, all with showers and some with tubs. The rooms are sunny, but a bit cramped, with antique wardrobes and modern beds. The hotel offers very good value for the otherwise high-priced places in central Salzburg. Formerly a bed and breakfast, the 15 rooms here are usually booked, so reservations are imperative.
