Housed in a beautiful Victorian mansion, this is the oldest Post in Texas, chartered in 1917 by several veterans of the Spanish-American War. On weekends, the large outdoor stage overlooking the River Walk usually showcases live music, frequently Tejano or conjunto. The Post is open to the public 7 days a week; guests can refresh themselves with snacks from food trucks on the grounds or beer from the indoor canteen.
