What do Pope John Paul II, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Smits, and Dwight Yoakam have in common? They’ve all had headgear made for them by Paris Hatters, in business since 1917 and still owned by the original family. About half of the sales are special orders, but the shelves are stocked with high-quality, ready-to-wear hats, including Kangol caps from Britain, Panama hats from Ecuador, Borsalino hats from Italy, and, of course, Stetson, Resistol, Dobbs, and other Western brands. A lot of them can be adjusted to your liking while you wait. Check out the pictures and newspaper articles in the back of the store to see which other famous heads have been covered here.
