This hip, adults-only bar and eatery is an ideal date-night or late-night destination. Through a hexagonal hallway is a dimly-lit lounge with tufted, black leather banquettes, stacked-stone walls, and an elaborate, starfield-like chandelier suspended over a sunken white bar. A "slow food" aesthetic rules the menu, offering artisanal salami and cheese boards, pan-roasted Jidori chicken (a high-end bird), and spicy pulled pork sliders. For dessert, the pistachio-encrusted ice cream sandwich with toffee chip cookies is practically mandatory. Handcrafted cocktails is where Starlite truly shines: Try the Starlite Mule with boutique vodka, ginger beer, and Angostura bitters in a distinct copper mug, or the Kentucky Colonel with small-batch bourbon, ginger beer, and cherry vanilla bitters. Sunday brunch, with Belgian waffles or chiliquiles verde , goes best on the woodsy-chic, enclosed patio.
