Established in 1871, and filled with a large collection of Californiana—including photos, documents, and fine art, this museum celebrates the diverse heritage that is California. Exhibits rotate, and have featured topics as varied as a celebration of the 75th birthday of the Golden Gate Bridge to local artists’ impressions of homelessness.
