This cozy (and noisy) gastropub is a great starting point for a Chestnut Street bar crawl. The heated back garden patio, leather booths in the front window, and famous Strawberry Fields cocktails lure a crowd of all ages. For a neighborhood with the reputation of being a bit frat-tastic, this bar is diverse enough to resist the stereotype (most of the time), while still embracing the lively, convivial atmosphere the Marina is known for. The food is good too, if you need something to soak up the heavy pours. In fact, “San Francisco Chronicle” food critic Michael Bauer included it in his list of top 100 restaurants in the Bay Area. Plus it has a dedicated kid’s menu for family-friendly imbibing.
