If you’re in the culinary scene, you know that Heath is the tableware provider of choice for chefs, artists, and pretty much anyone around the city with a healthy home-decorating budget. Check out this brand-new showroom, tucked in a quiet area of SoMa right next to the factory, and you’ll see why. These plates, platters, and bowls are works of art, in enough colors to complement any environment. The company’s good taste extends to its curated selection of glassware and cookware, plus an adjoining cafe, Tartine Manufactory (associated with the famed Mission District restaurant Tartine). Want to see how they make their wares? Working factory tours are held the first and third Fridays each month at 2pm, and weekend (non-working) tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30am. Open Sunday through Wed 10am to 6pm and Thursday through Saturday 10am to 7pm.
