Built by a coffee baron more than 100 years ago, the Santo Tomás has a nice dollop of vintage charm. Throughout the property you’ll enjoy the dark tones of well-aged wood, and various open-air terraces, courtyards and garden nooks. Rooms vary in size, but most are spacious enough to have a small table and chairs, along with the beds. A newer annex adds even more spacious rooms with balconies. Most importantly, the welcome here is unusually warm, thanks to the gracious owner, and the friendly staff he’s hired. A small outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi is attached to the property; both are solar-heated and connected by a tiny water slide.
