The Olive combines Mediterranean luxury and warm service to create a hotel so appealing, most guests forget it’s not on the beach. The décor is inspired by the owners' travels, which means a mélange of contemporary French, Italian, Moroccan and Spanish influences. How does that translate? You’ll see a lot of wrought iron lamps and chandeliers, chicly distressed wooden walls, modesty–be-damned all-glass bathrooms (in some guestrooms) and a canny mix of antiques with more contemporary pieces throughout the hotel. All in all, the guestrooms (and beds) are wonderfully comfortable, though the standard suites are on the small side. The rooftop terrace and bar-café are another key lure, with breath-taking views and a fun, adult ambiance.
