If you have a late night craving for French onion soup, or a smoked salmon meal, this is the place to be. This late-night eatery, and its vast menu, has been a part of Condado's night scene for 40 years. Every late-night dreamer who ever amounted to anything in San Juan (and the many more who never did) has dined here at some point over the decades, the predecessors of today's always interesting, and sometimes loopy, regulars. Service is sometimes friendly and sometimes brusque, but the crowd is always interesting, and the food usually worth the wait. The Greenhouse is known for its delicious black bean soup. Be warned: it's often crowded.
