Plaza de las Americas is a large, grassy traffic circle in the midst of a busy intersection containing the much-photographed "Monumento al Salvador del Mundo," or Monument to the Savior of the World. The monument includes a tall, four-sided concrete base with crosses on each side topped with a statue of Christ standing on top of the world. It's fine as statues go; but there's no parking, and it's a bit tricky crossing numerous lanes of traffic to reach the circle. So, unless you're a photography buff searching for the perfect shot, you might want to just take in the view from a bus window.
