The Dan’l Webster Inn and Spa
Centrally located on Main Street in the Cape’s oldest town, the Dan’l Webster Inn is named for the prominent 19th-century attorney and U.S. senator, who used to frequent a tavern on the site. The main building contains most of the rooms, as well as the restaurant and tavern and the full-service Beach Plum Spa; an adjacent fully renovated historic home contains additional upscale rooms. A heated outdoor pool and whirlpool tub are in the courtyard. The rooms range from somewhat plain to luxuriously appointed suites, complete with canopy beds, reproduction antiques, and working fireplaces, a style fit for honeymooners. Besides the convenience of staying at a full-service inn, the Dan’l Webster is also within walking distance or a short drive to almost all the Sandwich attractions. Because it can accommodate groups, this hotel is popular with tour buses.
