Fresh, local, and fun are the watchwords for this family-friendly restaurant cum art gallery. And when the families go home and to bed, George & Wendy's turns into a late night dining hot spot, too. We love this place for that. For dinner, try the full rack of slow-roasted baby backs or the sweet bourbon-marinated salmon. Late night diners need to check out the Beef on Weck: Thinly shaved rib-eye steak piled high on a Kummelweck roll (salt and caraway seeds) and served with au jus and a side of horseradish. There's also live music, which can be heard at a fantastic seasonal Sunday jazz brunch buffet for the bargain-basement price of $13 for adults and $10 for kids. Wooden booths and very colorful paintings of tropical landscaping adorn the interior, with hammocks and tiki torches outside.
