Although the late(r) night owls on the island consider the Jacko their dancing and drinking den, you may want to check the place out on the pre-9pm side of things. The place is straight out of the '70s and sort of even has the smell to prove it. Think fern bar, the kind of  place where Larry from "Three's Company" would hang out. It's fun, though, and one of the only "scenes" around. If you can, dine out on the patio. A hit-or-miss seafood menu includes a usually excellent fresh Florida snapper, served in parchment paper with herbs de Provence, vegetables, and garlic butter, and a simply delicious blackened Florida grouper.
