Casa Bigote
All the restaurants along the Bajo de Guia riverfront serve excellent seafood, but this is the most famous and clearly the locals’ favorite. At lunchtime, it’s not unusual to see other restaurants on the strip standing empty while Casa Bigote is already doing a roaring trade. There’s a formal restaurant with river views upstairs and a busy taberna downstairs where the tables are upturned barrels. A plate of langoustines, accompanied by a glass of cold manzanilla straight from the barrel, is an experience to savor. Reservations are recommended for the restaurant. There are no reservations at the bar.
