La Taverna del Mar
Set in the Hostal de la Gavina, La Taverna del Mar sits apart from the other restaurants lining the beach of Platja de Sant Pol, and you can’t help feeling they like it that way. Occupying an original S’Agaró building, it has been reworked internally by the acclaimed designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán and looks impossibly stylish in blue and white. Going à la carte gets expensive, but the full-table seafood menu offered at lunch or dinner time offers good value for money given the setting. We’d just be worried about spilling some of that ponzu sauce on the tablecloth.
