Brophy's has stunning views of bobbing harbor boats, majestic mountains, and the sparkling Pacific (did you see that dolphin frolicking?). But this hyper-popular restaurant proves that good views and good food can, in fact, be had together. Whether you sit at the friendly oyster/cocktail bar, or a table inside or out on the patio, you'll savor well-prepared fresh-off-the-boat seafood. Choose an appetizer from the raw bar offerings, perhaps followed by sautéed ahi breaded with roasted cashews, or grilled mahi mahi with mango-papaya relish. All entrées are served with coleslaw and green salad or a cup of New England clam chowder (you want the chowder), along with rice pilaf or French fries. Sandwiches, salads, burgers, beer-battered fish and chips, and a chunky cioppino round out the menu. Décor is standard-issue seafood-house nautical, with expansive windows open to the ocean breezes. Brophy's does not take reservations, so be prepared to wait (it's not that bad)—grab a pager from the hostess and walk around the busy harbor admiring the view.
