The Santa Fe Motel & Inn boasts a central location and relatively reasonable prices, always a good combination in this pricey city. Although technically a motel, it feels like a B&B, with friendly service, antique furnishings, and a full hot breakfast including freshly scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, breakfast meats, locally-baked bread, fruit, and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls whose aroma fills the dining room ($10 per person, free for children 10 and younger). Rooms are tastefully decorated in Southwest style, with fresh flowers and radiant baseboard heat, and one or two queen-sized beds or one king. All have a refrigerator, microwave, and a smart TV so guests can access their own TV services. You'll also find a companion rubber ducky in all tubs and showers. Some units are pet friendly with enclosed patios (call for details). There are also several patio rooms available in three historic casitas plus a free-standing studio apartment and a two-bedroom two-bath home suitable for two couples traveling together (call for rates). The motel is making an effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and reports that it is almost 100% free of single use plastic.
