Turtle Beach Resort & Inn

On Siesta Key’s south end, this intimate bayside charmer is very family friendly, but has some units that are honeymoon-worthy. The cottages are done in various styles, such as Caribbean and Southwestern, and have at least one bedroom each. Some units are close to a small, peaceful bayside swimming pool, but heavy tropical foliage provides a reasonable degree of privacy, and high wooden fences surround each unit’s private outdoor hot tub. Sitting right on the bay, all units also have one-way privacy mirror windows. There’s no restaurant on the grounds, but there are two waterfront restaurants and a pub right next door, and all units have kitchens. Guests can use bikes, fishing poles, kayaks, and canoes for free. Boaters especially love the property’s 10 boat marina. Ten studios and one-bedroom luxury units, called the Inn at Turtle Beach, are for adults only and located across the street on the Gulf side. Here the units have a Tommy Bahama-style, plus hot tubs with water jets. Facilities include kitchenettes and bathrooms, two boat docks, fountains, and a heated pool.
