One of string of old-fashioned tavernas and ouzeri along the waterfront in Aegina’s port comes with a ringside seat of the sparkling water and all the comings and goings on land. You’ll fit right in with the locals with a plate of grilled octopus (dried on a line in front of the seafront terrace) and a glass of ouzo, though all the mezedes are good, as are souvlaki, moussaka, and other taverna fare.
