Housed in a 19th-century cotton warehouse on the river, this B&B offers excellent value considering the location, though some of its rooms are starting to show their age. The air-conditioning can also be a little temperamental—ask to move if it’s too hot. In general rooms are nicely decorated in a period style, with four-poster and canopy beds, hardwood floors, and oriental rugs. Note that the river views are stunning, but balconies are usually tiny. The complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres reception isn’t always held every day—check in advance if this is important to you. The property dates back to 1819, and was expanded in 1853. Excellent rates are available online.
