Seaside Aquarium
The privately owned Seaside Aquarium is one of the town’s most popular family attractions, but it can’t hold a candlefish to the superlative Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. Still, here you can feed the seals and watch graceful Medusas (jellyfish) and giant Pacific octupuses, tiny pipefish and other creatures of the deep. The 36-foot-long skeleton of a gray whale (the kind that migrates along the Oregon Coast from Alaska to Baja) is visible through one of the windows.
