Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando
Behind Shamu Stadium, kids have their own richly imagined area, a beautifully realized product of a partnership with Sesame Workshop. Children can romp among re-created sets of Mr. Hooper’s store, Abby Cadabby’s garden, and the 123 stoop. There’s so much to discover by ringing doorbells, peeking through mail slots, buzzing apartment intercoms—even annoying Oscar by pounding on his trash can. The neighborhood doesn’t skimp on live appearances. There are lots of photo ops with Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Grover, and Cookie Monster, plus a new Party Parade—a first for SeaWorld Orlando—starring the gang (check the map for the times). The souvenirs here appeal to kids and ironic adults alike. Add a handful of kid-friendly rides—a carousel, an 800-foot coaster, a bird’s nest version of spinning teacups, and the Cookie Drop, a bench that lifts kids 20 feet and gently bounces them back down—and you’ve got a home run for kids. Adults are impressed at how far the designers went to make everything so detailed.
