Getting There 

Three trains (tel. 892021; www.trenitalia.it) per day arrive from Trapani to the stop at Segesta Tempio, taking 25 minutes and costing 3.25€ per person. From Palermo, three trains a day make the 1 3/4- to 2-hour journey at a cost of 6.10€ one way. The station is about a 1km (1/2-mile) walk to the park entrance. Segesta is also reached by bus with a couple of companies: AST (tel. 840-000323; www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it), which leaves from Piazza Montalto in Trapani; and Tarantola (tel. 0924-31020; www.tarantolabus.it) who operate three buses a day from Piazza Ciaccio in Trapani (journey time: 1 hour), and three to four buses from Piazza Giulio Cesare (Central Train Station) in Palermo (journey time: 1 3/4-hour).

By car, take the autostrada (A29) running between Palermo and Trapani. The exit at Segesta is clearly marked. The journey takes a little under an hour from Palermo.
